How Does the Shirodhara Head Spa Work?

You’ll lie on your back, gently cocooned in soft layers, with your head resting over a basin. The ritual begins with 5–10 minutes of Shirodhara: a warm, continuous stream of herbal oil is poured across the forehead and flows over your scalp and hair.

This steady stream activates the parasympathetic nervous system, guiding you into a deeply relaxed, meditative state.

The experience is designed to:

Soothe mental stress
Improve sleep quality
Induce calmness and emotional balance
Promote intuitive awareness and inner stillness

Once the oil ritual is complete, a double shampoo removes excess oil through a circulation-boosting scalp massage. A deep conditioning treatment is applied, and while it soaks in, you’ll receive a gentle facial using Aesop and other premium botanical products.

Your hair is brushed out and rinsed under the water halo. A leave-in treatment is applied, and your hair is gently dried to a damp finish. A grounding neck and shoulder massage completes your reset.

This treatment is offered to one client at a time. For groups, we recommend booking back-to-back appointments.
